About
I’m Fabiola Mercadante.
I was born and raised in Venaria Reale, near Turin. At twenty I moved to Rome to study cinema. Then I never left. I’m twenty-six, and I write because “words are important”.
An internship during my studies at the production company Lightless introduced me to the world of screenwriting. A collaboration with Indipendente SRL gave me my first co-written screenplay. Radio led me to podcasts, and communication agencies to so-called scripts.
Words are everywhere. They are ancient, democratic weapons for carrying a message, and with mine I hope to open a window as honest and faithful as possible onto the idea you have in your head: the origin of the world.

It is the point where the so-called “hook” stops being an idea to pitch in a few words. It becomes a story to tell. It grows, takes shape and holds itself up through a structure. We get to know its protagonists, and their goals and desires take form. In other words, the story starts to live.
